However, the Norwegian Football Federation announced a late change to its media schedule on Friday evening, removing the Manchester City striker from the press conference.
"We are making changes to tomorrow's press conference. Stale Solbakken, Fredrik Aursnes and Andreas Schjelderup will be attending," the federation said.
The decision came only hours after reports emerged that Manchester City had been found guilty of 114 breaches of the Premier League's financial regulations.
The reported verdict could lead to serious consequences for the reigning English champions, although any punishment would be determined through the Premier League's disciplinary process.
Haaland has been one of City's key players since joining the club from Borussia Dortmund, but Norway chose not to make him available to answer questions from journalists before Sunday's international fixture.
