Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper and captain Brandon Petersen produced another howler for Polokwane City's equalizer in Saturday's 1-1 draw at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The latest mistake, where he fumbled a corner kick into the net follows on the back of errors against Richards Bay and Golden Arrows in the MTN8 quarter-final defeat.

Petersen will be hoping to reclaim the form that saw him almost being included in the Bafana Bafana 2026 FIFA World Cup squad, with his blunders having cost Amakhosi four points this season.

Bad pitch conditions plague Chippa, Sundowns draw

Milford FC prove top-flight credentials with big win

Top-flight newcomers Milford produced an excellent attacking display to hammer KwaZulu-Natal rivals Richards Bay 5-1 at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Sunday to claim their third win of the campaign.

The Stallions have relied mostly on the squad that helped to gain promotion to the Betway Premiership but have surprisingly managed proved to be a tough side to play against, losing only to Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

Siwelele, Gallants fail to win after coaching changes

Early relegation candidates Siwelele FC [15th] and bottom of the table Marumo Gallants both failed to register their first victory of the new season despite making changes to the technical team prior to the fixture.

Gallants caretaker coach Trevor Mathiane saw his side fall 1-0 to AmaZulu in KwaMashu on Saturday, finishing the match with ten men after the red card to captain Edgar Manaka.

Meanwhile, Siwelele interim coach Godfrey Motsetsa led his team to a 1-1 draw against Golden Arrows. Both teams will have to start picking up points if they want to move away from the drop zone.
