McCarthy singles out Bafana Bafana, Guinea threat ahead of Kenya's AFCON qualifiers

Pitso Mosimane expects injured Lebohang Maboe to feature for Bafana
Maboe picked up an ankle injury after an hour of the goalless Betway Premiership draw with Golden Arrows on Sunday and had to be replaced.
But he has still joined up with the South Africa squad set to face Guinea and Eritrea in upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, as well as a friendly match with Egypt.
Speaking ahead of Saturday's clash with Eritrea, Mosimane explained that the player will have a scan to determine the extent of the injury.
"He (Maboe) has a niggling ankle injury," Mosimane said in the Citizen.
"You could see with the injury he was never kicked by anyone. The doctor briefed me that we should be careful with him and give him a chance (to recover).
"It is a three-week camp (Bafana will also play a friendly match against Egypt). He is going to do a scan and the scan will tell us how far he is. He has worked hard to be in Bafana, he will be disappointed that he has got an injury. But sometimes this is football and we hope Lebo recovers."
Bafana play Guinea at the Amstel Orlando Arena on Saturday and Eritrea in Egypt four days later. They then play the Pharaohs in a friendly on October 4.
