Thapelo Morena opens up on long-awaited Bafana Bafana return
Mamelodi Sundowns right-back Thapelo Morena could not hide his excitement after being included in Pitso Mosimane's 30-member Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming AFCON 2027 qualifiers.

Mosimane was named as the successor to retired former head coach Hugo Broos and has since named a technical team consisting of assistant coach Morena Ramoreboli, conditioning coach Kabelo Rangoaga and analyst Musi Matlaba.
The goalkeeper coach role that was most recently occupied by Grant Johnson is yet to be filled, with Mosimane suggesting he will look for a part-time replacement.
"You must also understand that some of these people are not full-time," said Mosimane on FARPost.
"You need to negotiate with the teams. We're going to make sure that they're available. We have sent out a few call-up letters. When the time is right, we will tell you, same as with coach Morena [Ramoreboli]. When the time is right, we will tell you, because we'll jump the gun early and then, yeah…
"So we will have a goalkeeper coach, 100%, because you can't have goalkeepers without a coach, right? But as you know, all those guys are part-time, right? These ones [pointing at Ramoreboli, Matlaba and Rangoaga] are there with me [full-time]."
Mosimane is currently preparing to face Guinea in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on September 26. His freshly named squad will assemble after the weekend's final round of matches before the international break.
