'I like the team's bravery' - Hansi Flick hails Barcelona after Racing rout

Barcelona have now won all six of their league matches and scored 28 goals, with Flick pleased by the way his players continued to attack despite Racing twice reducing the deficit.

"We played well and the result is top," Flick said. "I like the team's bravery, and that we've stayed focused."

The Barcelona coach also warned that his side must improve when they lose that attacking confidence.

"When we're less brave, the opposition creates danger and scores goals," he said. "We need to change that a bit and also learn from it."

Flick was particularly pleased with Raphinha, who scored a hat-trick after being used in a central attacking role.

"He has the attitude I like. Even in his life beyond football," Flick said.

The German also stressed the importance of Barcelona continuing to work as a team rather than relying on individual quality.

"When you want to succeed as a team, it's important that everyone has a mindset of helping each other," Flick said. "In soccer, everything is about the team. It's important to have high-level players but the team is in charge."

Those comments came after another dominant attacking display from Barcelona, with Raphinha leading the way.

Joao Cancelo opened the scoring after eight minutes with a superb long-range strike after receiving the ball from Lamine Yamal.

Raphinha then doubled the advantage from the penalty spot before Racing pulled one back through Maguette Gueye.

Cancelo restored Barcelona's two-goal lead with another powerful effort from distance before Raphinha struck again to make it 4-1 before half-time.

Racing gave themselves another glimpse of a comeback early in the second half when Yassir Zabiri capitalised on a mistake from substitute goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

Barcelona responded almost immediately, with Raphinha completing his hat-trick from the penalty spot after Karim Adeyemi was brought down.

Gabriel Jesus then scored his first league goal for Barcelona before Yamal completed the scoring late on.

The only concern for Flick was the fitness of goalkeeper Joan Garcia, who was replaced at half-time.

"He had something in his knee and we have to wait to see what the tests say," Flick said.

Barcelona's attacking numbers remain the standout feature of their start to the campaign, but Flick's comments showed that he is equally focused on concentration and teamwork.

The result also gave Flick a record seventh consecutive competitive victory to start the season.

Barcelona now turn their attention to Saturday's La Liga meeting with Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.
