According to Kicker, Bayern are looking to find a buyer for Ito in the winter, although he could remain at the club until the end of the season if no suitable offer arrives.
The 27-year-old has made just one appearance for Bayern this season, playing only 10 minutes.
Ito joined the German champions from VfB Stuttgart in 2024 for a reported 23.5 million euros and still has a contract with the club beyond this season. However, Bayern could look to cash in before he enters the final year of his deal.
The situation is similar to that of Sacha Boey, with Bayern also keen to find a solution for the French right-back.
Boey was made available during the recent transfer window but Bayern failed to find a buyer for the 25-year-old, who joined from Galatasaray for 30 million euros in January 2024.
Unlike Ito, Boey still has two years remaining on his Bayern contract.
Bayern's next Bundesliga fixture is against Augsburg at the WWK Arena on 10 October.
