Bradley Grobler nets late to ensure Stellenbosch take a point against Sekhukhune

Bethuel Muzeu opened the scoring for the visitors just after the hour mark in Cape Town but 38-year-old Grobler finished from close-range with three minutes of regulation time remaining to make sure Stellies took a point from the contest.

Both teams struggled for rhythm early on in the contest, with the first opportunity falling to former Stellenbosch forward Lehlogonolo Mojela but he put his header wide.

The home team had enough possession but will be disappointed by their play in the final third as they failed to create any meaning attempts on the Sekhukhune goal.

It was the visitors that took the lead in the 63rd minute when Mojela's initial shot took a massive deflection before Muzeu guided the ball home from close range.

Stellies almost equalised just five minutes later but Lehlogonolo Matlou, after finding space in the box, saw his effort hit the cross-bar.

The hosts continued to pile on the pressure in the closing stages and Grobler produced a typical poacher's finish when he latched onto a Siviwe Nkwali cross before finding the back of the net.

It was third draw in six league matches for Stellenbosch, to go with one victory and two defeats, while Sekhukhune played to their second stalemate of the season to complement their two wins and two losses.
