Amakhosi have made an encouraging start to the 2026/27 campaign, collecting 11 points from their opening five Betway Premiership matches to sit third on the table.
However, Solomons knows their strong start will count for little if they fail to maintain their consistency when domestic action resumes.
Chiefs have two league matches remaining before the first FIFA international break, beginning with Saturday's trip to Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium before facing Golden Arrows in Durban on 19 September.
With the break extended to three weeks, Chiefs will return to league action against Stellenbosch FC at FNB Stadium on 17 October. They will also have to negotiate two CAF Confederation Cup preliminary-round fixtures during that period.
Solomons believes Chiefs' experience from last season should serve as a warning.
"I think last season we went to a position similar to this," said Solomons.
"In the first five games, we were really good, and we were also unbeaten. After the break, that's when everything went a bit sideways for us. For me, this good start is really good; it is positive for us."
The defender stressed that maintaining their momentum after the upcoming break must be one of Chiefs' biggest priorities this season.
"But now, it is for us to go and come back from the break that we are going to have, and it is going to be a long one, and try to keep that consistency," he added.
"Try to win games, and that is the only thing I'm looking forward to. I want to see how we come back from the break because that is where we lost our way last season."
Solomons believes avoiding another mid-season slump could prove crucial to Chiefs' ambitions.
"Those are the types of things we need to focus on this season, and that will put us in good stead going forward. Because it is always those moments when you go on breaks and you come back that have crippled us and caused us to lose our way," he continued.
"So, the good start is positive for us. We know how it feels, we know how it looks. But it is obviously coming back from breaks where we need to improve our consistency."
