The Scot, who led by four shots at the halfway mark, played just six holes of the third round before storms swept through TPC San Antonio, resulting in the round being suspended. That left MacIntyre on 15 under for the tournament, two shots ahead of Ludwig Aberg, who also only played six holes before the weather came in.
MacIntyre drained one birdie in his short outing, while Aberg was on a streak, making birdies on the first, second and fifth to hop up the leaderboard.
No one played more than 14 holes of the third round. That included Matt Wallace, who was seven under for the round through 14 holes, putting him in T3 on 11 under.
As a result of the weather delay, some players face a marathon 30 holes on Sunday, the last day of professional golf before the Masters tees off next week Thursday.
