Gabriel Agbonlahor has suggested United could look to bring both players to Old Trafford should City suffer a punishment severe enough to force departures.
"Donnarumma - I have been watching [Senne] Lammens," Agbonlahor said about Donnarumma on TalkSPORT.
"Poor at the World Cup, cost Belgium in that game, and I think he has not been great this season. Look at the own goal - Lisandro Martinez against Fulham. He has got to be better with that save. I am not convinced in him.
"I will say Donnarumma to Manchester United. Manchester United will go and nick their number one goalkeeper."
He added: "Elliot Anderson - Manchester United wanted you, now you go there. Manchester United - you wanted Elliot Anderson, go and get him for maybe half the price."
United previously considered Donnarumma during the summer of 2025, while Anderson was reportedly their leading midfield target before the latest transfer window.
The speculation comes as City await the outcome of their financial-rule case. The club were found guilty of 114 breaches relating to the Premier League's financial regulations between 2009 and 2018, although the punishment has yet to be determined.
